The Kiwanis Club’s Spooktacular Coats for Kids collection drive will kick off on Friday, Oct. 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Crying Eagle, 1165 McNeese St., Lake Charles.
The event is free and open to the public with anyone donating a new or used coat receiving a free glass, drink token, and raffle ticket.
Halloween costumes are welcome and there will be refreshments, family activities, a raffle, an auction, and live music by the Julian Primeaux Band.
Face painting and games will also take place for the kids from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Bundles of coats and sweaters of all sizes will distributed as part of the Kiwanis Club of Lake Charles’ Coats for Kids project to keep children and adults warm through the season.
